Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to provide a urine specimen?
Yes. We evaluate all patient's urine via dipstick analysis and by microscopic exam if indicated.

Do I need to be off of my aspirin or blood thiners before a procedure?
Yes. As a general rule, we will request you discontinue taking your blood thinning agents one week before your procedure. In certain cases, you may be advised otherwise. But for your own safety and to reduce the risk of bleeding, blood thinning products will be discontinued.

What insurances to you accept?
We accept the following: Healthlink Blue Cross/Blue Shield Personal Care Consociate Three Rivers Provider Network Medicare - assignment accepted Illinois Public Aid (Coles Co. residents)by referral only.

Can I bring someone with me to the office visit?
Yes. We encourage you to have someone with you to help listen and ask questions. We understand the information we give you can be somewhat confusing and therefore encourage you to have someone present.

Do I need to bring my medications to the office visit?
The actual medications are not needed but a current list of your medications is preferred. However, if it is easier for you to bring the medications, we will be happy to go through them with you.
